Meeting Included:

Presentation: Wristwatches: Over 100 Years and Still Tickin’

 Presenter: Randy Jaye

Randy discussied the entire history of the wristwatch including: its humble beginnings as Ladies jewelry in the late 1800s, its rise to fame as a strategic and sturdy timepiece during World War 1, its general public acceptance around the world starting in the 1920s as a personal timepiece for both men and women of all ages, and its emergence as a status symbol and high-tech device. The future of the wristwatch will also be discussed (and you might be surprised at what some “futurists” are predicting.)
